How To Recognize The Types Of GynecomastiaGynecomastia is a condition that affects many men whereby they start to experience unusual growth in one of both of their breasts. The growth can be so pronounced that it will start to look like the breasts of a woman. There are more than one kind of gynecomastia conditions. They generally have the same features, but because they differ in shape, size, and the manner by which they are affected by the surrounding tissues. Pure Glandular Gynecomastia happens when there is use of anabolic steroids. This condition affects athletes and bodybuilders who do not have much extra fat on their bodies, so the steroids affects them in a pure way unlike with any other gynecomastia condition. The gynecomastia cure used to remove this is through cutting open the area and removing the glandular tissue. However, since the tissue is not fatty tissue, liposuction is hardly ever used. Young adolescent boys can get enlarged breast but in most cases, breast reduction happens normally. There is no gynecomastia treatment recommended in this scenario. If this kind of gynecomastia occurs in older men, which is the most common forms, then the gynecomastia cure is not anymore to simply wait it out but to have cosmetic surgery to remove the excess tissue. You may notice your nipples becoming puffy and swollen, and this could be indicative of a different type of gynecomastia type. What happens is that only the center of the breast starts to swell up and jut out abnormally. Eventually, if left unattended, the nipple will start to look like a dome. The gynecomastia cure for this is cosmetic surgery which will suction out the tissue in this area alone. Usually, it will dissipate and level out right after, with minimal scarring since the nipple is a darker area, and the incision could be in a place where it won’t be noticed. Otherwise, additional cosmetic surgery will be done to beautify the breast. There can be very extreme cases of gynecomastia which is seen by saggy skin due to the enlarged breast. This is usually seen in older men as a result of aging, excess skin and less elasticity with the skin. The gynecomastia treatment for this type is breast reduction surgery, but only if the male adult can handle the procedure. The last type of gynecomastia is pseudo-gynecomastia which is really not breast enlargement due to a hormone imbalance, drugs, tumor, or addicting substances, but a problem with obesity and weight. Thus, one will not find glandular tissue but adipose tissue which will require diet and exercise to remove or reduce.
